Covid – 19 Update

Please note that as organised ‘outdoor physical activity events’, Walk this Way South Downs Women’s Walking Group walks are exempt from the restrictions on social gatherings, known as the ‘rule of six’ in England (from 14 September).
We will continue to walk in socially distanced groups of up to 20
(not 30 as Government guidelines states).
Sorry – we are currently closed to new members
Walkers must be able to comfortably walk for at least 6 miles over undulating ground.

We are a fun and friendly Women’s Country Walking Group with a base near Arundel in West Sussex.   We walk in the beautiful South Downs National Park as well as coastal areas between Hayling Island and Lancing,  and up to just north of Midhurst and Petworth.

Our regular weekly walks are weekly on Tuesdays and Friday’s meeting up at various locations at 10.00am.  Distances vary between 6 and 10 miles, and occasionally longer.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but may have to be limited depending on numbers.

We also like to organise the occasional social activity and fundraising event – and any help with this is much appreciated!

If you would like to volunteer with us, whether leading a ‘one-off’ or a regular walk of your own (maybe a shorter beginners walk – we can familiarise you with a few routes first if needed), or getting involved with planning and organising social activities etc. or helping out in other ways – we will be very pleased to hear from you!
